"what is the meaning"和"what is meaning"是有很大区别的，"what is meaning"是"what is the meaning"的错误用法。很多同学不知道为什么英语名词前常常有个"the"，但这就像问姓名一样，只有"what's the name (of ...)?"或者"what's your/his name?"就是没有"what‘s name?"这种问法，因为这种问法是错的。
